Corrections
This publication maintains a corrections policy and applies it. Corrections are published in the issue following the error and are retained here permanently. We do not remove them.
Errors of fact are corrected. Errors of emphasis are corrected when a reader establishes that the emphasis was wrong, which is a higher bar and one the desk applies consistently. Errors of tone are not corrected, on the grounds that the tone is the tone.
Corrections may be submitted to corrections@thecoveragejournal.com in writing and with the date of the issue in question. The desk acknowledges all submissions and publishes those it upholds.

Our July 31 issue described a venue in Lancaster County as “barn-adjacent.” The venue is a barn. We regret the softening.

A figure in our regional rate survey was published as 71.2 percent. The figure is 71.2 percent. A reader wrote to dispute it. The figure remains 71.2 percent, and we thank the reader for the correspondence.

Our July 24 issue stated that a ceremony began at 4:00. The ceremony began when it began. We regret the implication.

An article on storage economics attributed a quotation to a distributor who has asked to be described instead as a reseller. The distinction is material to the distributor and has been made.

We referred to a second shooter as an assistant. A second shooter is not an assistant. This publication knows this and published it anyway, which is worse.

Our coverage of the Mountain West rate survey stated that the region declined to answer. The region did not decline. The region answered, and the response was mislaid by this desk. It has since been located.

A photograph credited to a file photo was in fact a handout. The distinction is small and we observe it.
